The first kids only stage race trail run
The race is open to boys and girls from Grade 1 to Grade 7. The race is 2 days of real trail running whilst staying over at a proper race village. Loads of fun outside, and learn some skills whilst you’re here. There will be, included in the event, a trail running skills clinic, MTB skills clinic, cooking lessons, farm visits, understanding the www and responsible social media, and heaps more!
There will be 2 days of running, over 2 different routes.
On Saturday, after the running is done, we are going to offer the kids a choice of fun and informative clinics and skills development activities. First up we will have Springbok Trail Runner, Tracey Zunckel present “Trail Running – all you need to know”. For the keen MTB riders, Pyga Mountain Bikes will run a MTB skills clinic, hosted by Patrick Morewood, founder of Pyga bikes (bring your own bike). Brendan Temple, founder of Temple (our media partners and website designers) will be chatting to the kids about responsible social media, and how the internet actually works! We’re also going to visit Farmer Frostie next door, this is a working hydroponics farm, to learn about modern intensive vegetable farming. Dinner on Saturday night will be a potjiekos competition, chef Jen from the Farmers Daughter (who are our caterers) will be teaching the kids all about making perfect potjiekos!
